This is no ordinary expo. This is Darkside New Jersey: a sanctuary of shadows, where the eerie is embraced, the bizarre is celebrated, and the line between art and the arcane is deliciously blurred.

Held annually at the New Jersey Convention & Expo Center in Edison, NJ, the Darkside NJ Art & Oddities Expo beckons the curious, the creepy, and the creatively unhinged. With over 100’s of hand-selected vendors of the macabre, sideshow & dark arts spectacles, taxidermy workshops, immersive installations, film premieres, and our now-infamous Dark Wave Silent Rave, this is more than an event: it’s a full-body plunge into the underworld of art, experience and wonder.

But this descent into the beautiful unknown doesn’t conjure itself...

Darkside New Jersey Art & Oddities Expo was conjured from the shadows by Joseph Kuzemka, a driving force in New Jersey’s underground arts and alternative event scene. With over three decades of experience in creative direction, marketing, and event production, Joseph has masterminded over 200 large-scale events, concerts and festivals, all rooted in a fierce DIY ethic and a passion for the offbeat. He is the creator of the New Jersey Punk Rock Flea Market (NJPRFM), a genre-defying cultural institution that has become a cornerstone of the East Coast’s alt community, and one of the founding architects of Art All Night-Trenton, the legendary 24-hour celebration of grassroots art and music that redefined what inclusive, community-driven creativity could be. His work has not gone unnoticed as Joseph was named a Person of the Year in Trenton, recognized for his relentless commitment to art, community, and the city itself. Darkside NJ is the shadow-drenched evolution of that legacy… an immersive, macabre experience where punk grit meets gothic ritual, and the weird, the wild, and the wondrous are given the space to thrive.
